Sandra's Stats

Of course on my blog I feature clothes I've purchased for myself (and perhaps my kids.) So just in case you were wondering, here's how I dress myself!

Dress size - 10 (which means occasionally 8, sometimes 12)
Bra size - 36 D (yes, large)
Pant size - 9/11 (I HATE shopping for jeans)
Shoe Size - 8.5 (sometimes 8, sometimes 9)
Tshirt Size - L (sometime M or XL on account of my chest)

My trouble areas are my chest and tummy. Because my bosoms are ample, a lot of cute things don't fit, especially if they are cut with some kind of allowance for the boobs. So I just have to be careful! My tummy is also interesting... I will look pretty good from the front in something, but if I turn sideways, I become large! My tummy sticks out in the front but curves in at the sides...so I'm a big fan of the empire waist and jackets. What? You don't understand? Here's some photos...

See, this was just a bad outfit! The top was to tight and because the jacket was so short, it emphasized my tummy! Even from the front...NOT GOOD because of the bunching, but see how my waist looks smaller! What was I thinking? Well, I made that top and never tried it on and then had to get dressed about 2 minutes before the show started, so I didn't really get to see how it looked and it's all I had to wear!

So, of course, I repeated it again a month later. WILL I EVER LEARN?

Here's some better examples of things that really work for my body! I apologize these are all performance photos, but I don't really take photos of myself otherwise!

The top tucked in and bloused with the tailored jacket. Yay!

Still sparkly, but the loose fitting top and coat streamline it.

I'll take more, better pictures. Learning to dress for your body is super duper important.
